- Once upon a time, I lived the life of a globetrotting oil man's pampered daughter. I lived in four different countries and spoke three different languages by the time I was seven. Many years would go by and I would grow up and return to the United States. After a turn on the rat wheel of corporate America, I found that I HATED that life and decided to chunk it and follow a dream. For the next five years, I owned and operated a popular live music pub. After a short marriage and even shorter divorce, I picked up the pieces and went on to settle down with the man I should have run off with years earlier (we had known each other prior to our 1st marriages & divorces to other people). I am now happily living in sin on my crazy talented artist boyfriend's big farm (5th generation to live here)with seventy or so Brahman cattle, a family of miniature donkeys, several spoiled rotten bottle fed calves, a miniature Zebu bull, lots of crazy chickens and Guineas, 4 dogs and 2 very fat cats. I started this blog to chronicle my transformation from tri-lingual city chick to femme fatale farmer. My mantra "Bloom Where You're Planted" has taken on a completely new meaning!
