Shutterbug: Cosmic Hitchhiker & Kali

Sunset on the farm, a beautiful ending to a long, hot July. This is one of Andy's small sculptures. Our alien greeter is one of the many things that makes Feed Me Farms unique. Andy is adept at taking old discardable junk and breathing new life into it. One day, we hope to open our place to other visionary artists and visionary art enthusiasts. I wish this Kali gate was going to stay on the farm (because the cows really seem to like it), but its a commissioned piece destined for an old Victorian home in town, (The Dentage) right on the main road, at least we will get to see it everyday!

  2. Congratulations on Blog of Note! From a fellow Blog of Noter. You kiss chickens? I kiss dogs. And cats. And sometimes frogs but they never turn into a prince. Boo hoo hoo

  6. I am so excited to join so many of you that have received the designation of Blogs of Note from blogger.com

I had a similar experience a few years ago with one of my restaurants. Texas Monthly (a very big magazine here in Texas) sent in a food critic and then reviewed my "out of the way" restaurant. The critic not only raved about the food but the ambience and decor too.

After that, it was never the same again. I had people come in all the time saying they had heard about my place in Texas Monthly and just had to make the trek.

I hope this happens with the blog too, I could use more readership.

    Thank you blogger.com

  7. @ Annah - I have kissed monkeys, iguanas, donkeys and just about every other animal on this planet. I then kissed an artistic cowboy who turned into a very unlikely prince. Maybe you need to move to Texas!

  8. @ Holyok Home - If it were between the cowboy and the cheese, the cowboy would have to go buy me some milk cows. I cannot live without my favorite food group.

  9. @ Googlover/keishua - You flew the East Texas coop and I on the other hand, got trapped in it, along with about two dozen other chickens and Guineas!

  10. Congrats on the blog of note! My brother and I used to use things like that to make sculptures and art... It didn't quite work out as well as it did for you...

  11. @Tommy - It looks like music is your path, the world would be a sad and silent place without musicians.

Andy has been a visionary artist since he was a child, the difference is, he was able to go to school and get a degree in Art. I guess you could call him a faux folk artist.

He has a band too, check out the Outhouse Moan (then you will understand why he is an artist by profession) :)

  23. @ Ayee, yes we really are ghost hunters. We are with a well known team called Wide Awake Paranormal (you can join our facebook page)to follow those adventures. We specialize in historic locations and museums etc.
I work in a very haunted museum as a curator part time, it's part of an 1800's old West jail complex where many a hanging took place.
